Summary
The Technical White Book, Livre Blanc Technique in french, is a payroll configuration analysis tool designed for HR Access, by Sopra HR.
It automates time-consuming phases of collecting configuration elements, as well as certain analysis phases:
- Upstream analysis
- Downstream analysis
- Understanding a pay calculation result
- Pay rules systems comparison
It is the tool I build to help me, in my professional life as a HR Access consultant.
Finally, it’s a tool used within a large company, with a story.
In 4 Screenshots
Upstream Analysis
Analyze a payroll rule by searching for all the items that make up its calculation formula, its triggering rules, and other optional elements.
Downstream Analysis
Searching for the impacts of a payroll item involves finding where an item is used and potentially identifying whether the downstream items have a position in the payslip, play a role in DSN, or in accounting.
Understanding a Payroll Calculation
Extract the calculated data from the PRDB and align it with an upstream analysis of a payroll rule.
Comparing pay rules systems
Automatically compare regulations between environments or at different points in time. Help track delivered changes and modifications.
The Support File: Regulatory Export
Behind these features, a “heavy” SQL export is used. More precisely, PL/SQL is used to prepare and extract the data.
The server’s power is thus leveraged upstream to enable fast subsequent analyses.
The data is stored in Excel spreadsheets.
They allow:
- volumetric analyses on the items
- these analyses can be cross-referenced with other data from the PRDB, for example, to identify where they are used
- they support the functioning of the LBT VBA tool, which is used to understand payroll rules, conduct impact studies, or make regulatory payroll comparisons.
HR Access is a software by Sopra HR Software company.
