Downstream Analysis
By AMO
The downstream analysis simply consists of searching for the code of one item in the calculation formula of other items. Nothing more, nothing less.
Just like the upstream analysis, the process is iterative:
Displaying impacts on payslip, accounting, or DSN
When launching the analysis, it is possible to activate options, independent from each other, to mark:
- items with a position on the payslip
- items with an accounting allocation
- items with DSN reporting
Here, 3 new columns have been created:
- items 450 and EW3 have a payslip impact
- only item 450 has DSN reporting
- and 5 items have an accounting impact
To find out exactly the nature of these impacts, refer to the Pay system export.
Traversing contribution bases
To avoid displaying an overly exhaustive result, an option has been implemented:
-
Option 1: if the searched item is found within a contribution base, then the algorithm stops at that level and does not search for how that same contribution base is used. This is the default option.
-
Option 2: if the searched item is found within a contribution base and the “Deep Search” option is activated, the algorithm continues its search. This means it looks for how that contribution base is used. The option applies to encountered contribution bases at lower levels. The “Deep Search” option can result in very long processing times (up to over 1 hour).
